Jinju

Jinju is a city of the South Korea, in the province of the Gyeongsang of the South. The city is twinned with Matsue with the Japan.

History

They is the places of two seats at the time of the Guerre Imjin: the Head office of Jinju (1592) and the Head office of Jinju (1593).

At the time of this war, Japanese had taken the fortress of Jinju. A powerful general had held so that a tempting Korean maidservant remains at her sides. One evening, the young girl made it drink so much and more, then it took it along on a rock close to the river. It jumped of this rock in the river, sacrificing its own life to kill the general.

Events

Jinju is a charming city. A large river the cross-piece, around whose the many festivaux one such as the festival of the lanterns is held which celebrates the war of 1592.
