Synopsis

Stewart Kane, a man of Irish origin, lives in the small town of Jindabyne. He discovers the corpse of an young woman in the river whereas he left with his three friends for an excursion fishing in the mountains. The four men decide not to return immediately, continue to fish quietly and announce their macabre discovered a few days later. With their return, they are confronted with anger and the incomprehension of all the community of Jindbyne and the occasion to reveal the secrecies and the feelings of hatred and love in Jindabyne…
