Jimmy Young (born the November 16th 1948 and died in Philadelphia the February 20th 2005) was an American Boxe ur (heavy truck).
Started in 1969, the career of Jimmy Young is especially marked by his combat against Mohammed Ali the April 30th 1976 with Landover (Maryland). This combat remained in the legend. Young successful to hold the 15 rounds against the world champion after having dominated the beginning of the combat. The decision of the judges giving Mohammed Ali winner to the points is very discussed and accommodated by the whistles of the public.
To dispute a new championship of the world, Jimmy Young selected to face one of the most feared boxers time: George Foreman which then carries out its return after its defeat against Mohammed Ali to the Zaire (the famous combat of the jungle ). After this defeat Young continues his career until, at the 39 years age, he announces finally his retirement in 1988. The years of retirement are not pink. Young, depressed, is victim of neurological problems (insanities) and carries out a hard combat against the Drogue and alcohol. Young dies in Philadelphia of an heart attack the February 20th 2005 at the 56 years age.
