Jim Valentino

Jim Valentino is an author of Comic S states-unien born the October 28th 1952 in the Bronx with New York.

It begins its career at the end of the years 1970s with comics with small diffusion, own-produced, like Christmas Comics , Kid Stuf' and others. Its work is quickly noticed by Dave Sim and Deni Loubert which produces its first series colors, Normalman , in 1984. Loubert publishes it in 1985 by its publisher Renegade Close, like its following series éponyme, Valentino .

He works then on storyboards for cartoon films, before joining Marvel Comics at the end of the years 1980s, to work in particular on the series What If? and Guardians off the Galaxy .

Asserting more control on their work, him and six other artists (others being Marc Silvestri, Rob Liefeld, Jim Lee, Erik Larsen, Todd McFarlane and Whilce Portacio) leave Marvel to form Image Comics in 1992.

It launches a series there on a Super-héros hyper-violent one and sideic of its creation: ShadowHawk . It also publishes at Image of the collections of its first autobiographical work entitled Vignettes , and the comics acclaimed by criticism has Touch Silver off.

Editor of Image Comics between 1999 and 2004, Valentino pleasing at the company of the famous authors like Brian Michael Bendis, Warren Elect, James Robinson, John Romita Jr or Joesph Michael Linsner.

He currently lives in the south of the California with his sons Aaron and Joel.

In 2005, it started again Shadowhawk with other titles at Image under the banner Shadowline .
