Jim Loscutoff

James Loscutoff (born the February 4th 1930 with San Francisco, California, is a former professional American player of Basket-ball of NBA with the Boston Celtics. It evolved/moved with the college Grant Tech with Oakland, California and later with the Université of Oregon.

Measuring 1m96, Loscutoff was selected with the 4th rank of the first tower of the Draft NBA 1955. In nine seasons, of 1955 to 1964, he played station of winger and gained seven championships NBA with the legendary team of Celtics of the Années 1960. He was chosen by the trainer Red Auerbach to bring more defensive energy to the team of Celtics, which had one of the worst defensive assessments of the league.

Loscutoff was the " dog of garde" appointed of Celtics, its defense being recipient of the defensive success of Celtics of the Sixties, in company of the Hall off Famer Bill Russell.

The nicknames of Loscutoff were " Jim" jungle; and " Loscy". Its shirt number 18 was withdrawn by Celtics, but reactive for Dave Cowens. It was then withdrawn again.

Today, Loscutoff lives between the Florida and Andover, Massachusetts, where its family has an outdoor center for the children.
