Jim Haldane (born in 1945 with Hove in the Sussex) is an illustrator and British artist .

He studied the illustration with the Art schools of Brighton then to the Royal College off Art with London where he obtained his control with mention very well in 1968 (only two mentions very well were allotted this year there). The director of the Royal Collège regarded it as “an exceptional student”, and it gained prestigious the American Bourse .

Jim worked successfully in the the Seventies as illustrator for newspapers such as the Sunday Times and the Observer and of the multinationals as Shell oil (whose it illustrated the annual report). However, this work on order did not enable him to give free course to its inspiration; it thus decided to be devoted exclusively to its Article.

For 25 years Jim has worked without slackening and produced a big number of works which for much are very innovating in various fields like the Acrylique and the Gravure for which it developed a technique coloring which had been tested never before.

Although many of its works crossed the borders, he remains a local artist who finds his inspiration in the great diversity of the architecture of Brighton like in the colors of his marine landscapes.
