Jim Goldberg

American photographer born in 1953, Jim Goldberg lives and works with San Francisco. He off teaches with the California College Arts and Crafts.

He integrates Magnum Photographs in 2002 and becomes member in 2006. He studied photography with the San Francisco Art Institute. Its work, near to documentary, combines texts and images, and intends to give a voice to populations whose fate overlooked.

Jim Goldberg received a great number of rewards of which the Bourse Guggenheim, the Hasselblad Award and the Prix Henri-Cartier-Bresson (2007). Its work was exposed in the many ones international institutions these 25 last years, and belonged to prestigious collections of which the San Francisco Museum off Modern Art, the Getty Center of Los Angeles, the Corcoran Gallery off Art of Washington and the MoMA of New York. It is represented by the Pace/MacGill gallery in New York and Stephen Wirtz Gallery in San Francisco.
