Jill Carroll

Jill Carroll (1977 -) is an American Journaliste . It is freelance journalist with the American Quotidien Christian Science Monitor and was installed with Baghdad since 2003. It was removed the January 7th 2006 in a street of Baghdad. Since, its name appears regularly in the newspapers in the United States.

At the time of removal, it was in Iraq to interview the political leader sunnite Adnane Al Doulaïmi, chief of the list Sunnite of the “ Front of the Harmony ”, to which belonged the Islamic party. Its interpreter was killed by ball during removal. Its kidnappers, an armed group being made call the “ Brigades of revenge ”, had threatened to kill her if the captive women in Iraq were not released.

The March 30th 2006, it is slackened in the Iraqi capital. She was escorted by men armed in the district with Amriya, in front of the offices of the Iraqi Islamic party, whose leaders had launched vigorous calls in favor its release. This one occurs one week after that, by Iraqi special forces, of three pacifist Christian - two Canadian and a Britannique - after four months in captivity.
