The Jilin (吉林 Pinyin: jílín ), shortened in Ji (吉 ), is a province the North-East of the Popular republic of China, whose chief town of province is the town of Changchun (长春, Chángchūn ).

Tourism

The lake Tian Chi (天池 tiānchí, “celestial lake”) located at 2.194 m of altitude in the Mont Paektu (长白山 Chángbái shān , “mount of the eternal snow”) is a volcanic lake of 13 km circumference.

Geography

The Korean autonomous Prefecture of Yanbian (延边朝鲜族自治州 Yánbiān Cháoxiǎnzú Zìzhìzhōu ), located at the North-East of the province of Jilin, has a population with Korean majority.
