Jigsaw
A jumping Scie is a Machine-outil of cutting, equipped with a toothed blade, used in general for the cutting of boards or panels out of wooden. The blade is very small and narrow: it is fixed on a side at an engine which makes him make a fast back and forth pass. On the majority of the current models, a guide still rigidifies the blade.
It is very much used in Menuiserie : indeed, the small size of the blade enables him to be extremely handy, and to saw round forms or according to a layout freely chosen, contrary to the saws of the type Circular saw which are made to only saw in straight line. This smallness imposes limits of course, and only boards not too thick can be cut out (according to the power, approximately 6 to 9 cm).
Certain models of jigsaws are called pendular : those can moreover impel one movement of before behind with the blade, which allows a faster cutting.
