Jigme Lingpa
Jigme Lingpa (Tibetan, Gigues-med gling-Pa) (1730 - 1798) was one of most important the Tertön S of the Tibet. It promulga the Longchen Nyingthik, Gasoline lesson of Heart of Longchenpa, from which, according to the tradition, he accepted a vision in which the lesson was revealed to him. Longchen Nyingthik became finally the most famous cycle and largely exerted lesson Dzogchen.
Preceding creation by Jamgon Kongtrul Lodrö Taye of the Five Collections , Jigme Lingpa published and promoted texts Nyingma which had become rare, starting with Nyingma will tantras, held in the collection of manuscripts the monastery of Mindroling. He also wrote a history in nine volumes of Vajrayana Nyingmapa.
Major precursor of the movement Rhyme, Jigme Lingpa had many disciples in the four lines of the Bouddhisme Tibetan. The first Dodrupchen Rinpoché, Jigme Trinle, became the principal holder of its line. Among those held by the tradition to be the reincarnations of Jigme Lingpa, one finds Do Khyentse Yeshe Dorje (emanation of its spirit) Patrul Rinpoché (emanation of its word) and Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo (emanation of its body).
