Jialing (motor bike)

China Jialing (嘉陵) is a Chinese company whose principal branch of industry is the production of motor bikes.

In 1979, Jialing was the first Chinese company to produce motor bikes. In 1981, the group started a technological co-operation with Honda. According to the figures of the group, 11 million units would have been sold since, for approximately 200 models going from 35 ml to 250 ml.

Jialing is the largest producer of motor bikes in China, whose sales appear top of the list of this type of vehicle in the Chinese interior market (1/5 of market shares). The capital published by the group rises to 5 billion dollars, with 10.000 employees for the motor bikes, Scooter S and engines. The group also continues other activities: cars, optics, biomedecine, real estate and hotel trade. The group has approximately 30 partners of holdings, with 300 companies partners and a network of more than 3000 services of marketing, which in fact a leader in this sector.

The production of motor bikes would approach the million units in 2004.

The motorized Jialing products, and in particular vehicles, are sold in great majority on the Chinese interior market. However, of the factories were established in Indonesia, of the partnerships of production exist with the Brésil: the Southeast Asia, the South America and the Africa are the markets under development of the group, which has already representatives in Europe and with the the United States. Sales are currently carried out in 50 countries.
