Jia Qinglin
Jia Qinglin (Chinese simplified 贾庆林; traditional Chinese: 賈慶林; pinyin: Jiǎ Qìnglín) is a Chinese politician born in March 1940 in Botou in the province from the Hebei. Jia is fourth in the hierarchy of the Standing Committee of the political office of the Chinese Communist party (PCC), and chair political advisory Conférence of the Chinese people (CCPPC).
One of allied and protected from old the President of the Popular republic of China, Jiang Zemin, its rise with the Politburo is due to this relation.
Jia Qinglin was more the Chinese top-ranking executive who took part in the funeral of Zhao Ziyang. With the transition from being able to Hu Jintao in 2005, Jia seems to be in load of the coordination of the businesses with Taiwan.
Origins
Jia Qinglin, of origin han, adhered to the PCC in December 1959. After being left the polytechnic Institute of Hebei, he worked between 1962 and 1978 as technician then as head clerk after 1973 in the Prime Minister for the Mechanical engineering industry.
Between 1978 and 1983, he was managing director of the national company of import-export of machines and equipment.
Between 1983 and 1985, he was plant manager of heavy machines of Taiyuan and secretary of the committee of the PCC for this company.
Between 1985 and 1994, Jia was member then secretary of the Standing Committee of the provincial committee of Fujian of the PCC and finally vice-governor and governor of this province.
Between 1994 and 1996, he was secretary of the provincial committee of Fujian of the PCC and president of the Standing Committee of the Popular Assembly of this province.
Between 1996 and 2002, he was assistant secretary then secretary of the municipal committee of Beijing of the PCC, assistant mayor then mayor of Beijing, member of the central committee of the PCC, then member of the political office of the PCC.
Jia is member of the political office of the PCC, elected with the 16th congress of the PCC in 2002, and chair national committee of the political advisory Conférence of the Chinese people, elected by the national committee of this organization in March 2003.
