Jiří Šlégr
Jiří Šlégr - pron. : (born on May 30th, 1971 with Jihlava in Czechoslovakia today town of Czech Republic) is a professional player of Hockey. He is the son of Jiří Bubla old international defender of hockey.
Career in club
It begins its career in 1987 with the club from HC Chemopetrol in the Czech Élite championship (Extraliga). In 1990, it takes part in the fishing out of entry in the National league of hockey. It is then chosen by the Canucks of Vancouver as a third player (second round and 23e selected player). He plays two more seasons in his country before joining the LNH of North America for the 1992-93. In 1991, he is elected better defender season of Extraliga. He is also selected to belong to the standard team.In 1994, it joined the Oilers d' Edmonton in return of Roman Oksiuta. He plays two springtides with Oilers before turning over to play some matches in his country then he plays the end of the season 1996-97 with Södertälje SK in the Swedish Élite .
After this season in Europe, it turns over in the LNH and plays for the Penguins de Pittsburgh in return of a choice of round third. He plays then sides of several other Czech players of which Jaromír Jágr, Robert Lang, Martin Straka or Robert Döme.
In January 2001, it signs with the Thrashers of Atlanta in exchange of a choice of round third. One year later, once again against a choice of round third and Yuri Butsayev, it joined the Red Wings de Détroit future winners of the Coupe Stanley but it plays final only one ten matches with Red Wings and one at the time of the series.
During the season 2002-03, it turns over to play partly for its team of always the HC Chemopetrol then finishes the season with the Avangard Omsk in the Russian championship. During series of Avangard, he is the player more penalized with 45 minutes of penalties.
Following this season, it turns over in the LNH and signs as a free agent for Canucks. Unfortunately, not getting along with the trainer of the team, Marc Crawford, it changes team once again and joined the Bruins of Boston in January 2004. At the time of the '' lockout '' 2004-05, once again it plays for its formative club as a Czech Republic.
In 2005-06, it plays about thirty matches with Bruins and at the end of the season, it joined its country and its club of always. At the end of 2007, it plays in Suisse, in the National league B for the club of HC Bienne.
In 2007-08, he plays for HC Chemopetrol.
