Jetairfly

(Code AITA: JF ; Code ICAO: JAF ) is a Belgian Airline company . It belongs to the greatest group of tourism in the world, the group TUI, based with Hanover.

Created in 2004 under the name of TUI Airlines Belgium . It will take over, after the bankruptcy of Sobelair, which was hitherto the principal airline company of the Tour operator Jetair, to convey the Belgian tourists with destination.
In November 2005 it will be famous in Jetairfly to correspond to the new strategy of the group. In order to gather all its flying activities under the same name, the largest fleet of leisures of Europe, will be gathered under alliance TUIfly.

The network of Jetairfly is composed of more than 60 destinations in the Mediterranean, in the the Caribbean, the Canary islands or the Red Sea.

The principal hub is the Aéroport of Brussels, but Jetairfly serves also the Aéroport of Liege, the Aéroport of Ostend-Bruges and since November 2006 the Aéroport of Charleroi Brussels-South.

History

The resumption of Sobelair by Aldo Vastapane frustrated certain members of this company who wished to take it again via a MBO with the assistance of DSF. It turned to group TUI by proposing their experiment of management of a company.

After the bankruptcy of Sobelair, project TUI Airlines Belgium becomes extensive, it will carry out the major part of the flights of holidays of Jetair with a Belgian license of flight (AOC).

In 2006, last significant event in the life of the young company, it changes name to become Jetairfly following the example other companies of the group (Thomsonfly, Corsairfly, Hapagfly, Arkefly, Britanniafly)

IN 2008 Jetairfly TUIFly.com following the example other companies TUI will be renamed. The distinctive elements of the company will be the registration and the Belgian flag which will be with its with dimensions.
