Jesse Wedgwood Mighels
Jesse Wedgwood Mighels is a Médecin and a American Naturaliste , born the July 6th 1795 Parsonsflied in the Maine and dead the September 16th 1861 with Norway, Maine.
It is orphan very young. It starts to learn the Médecine near a doctor from his city before following the courses to the medical school of Darmouth. It receives its Medical Doctorate in 1823. It settles with Minot, in the Maine, where it starts to exert. In 1826, it Marie with Evelina Augusta Rust of which he will have two wire.
In 1832, the Mighels family moves in with Portland where he becomes soon a famous surgeon. It is in this city that he discovers the Natural history. As of 1837, it starts to constitute an important collection of Coquillage S. It is one of the founders of the Portland Society off Natural History in 1843. In 1846, it resells it at the company for 1.000 dollars. It is rich of more than 4.000 different species including 87 news. It was, at the time, one of the largest mollusc collections of the the United States of America. In 1847, Mighels settle with Cincinnati where he teaches the Obstétrique and infantile diseases at the medical school and of surgery of the city.
The building sheltering Boston Society burns in 1854 and all the collections are then destroyed. This destruction will bitterly be lived by Mighels which writes:

Mighels is also the author of work in Ichtyologie and Ornithologie.
In 1858, it takes its retirement and is withdrawn in Maine.
