Jerome Banner

Jerome Banner (born the December 26th 1972) is a kick-boxer French of world level, taking part in particular in the championship of the K-1. Originating of Le Havre, in Normandy, it measures 1 m 90 for approximately 120 kg. He is the father of small Victoria.

Jerome Banner is a dreaded combatant because it is equipped with a power of important striking, doubled of a good technique and a mental solid. A great number of its victories were obtained besides before the limit.

It gained several titles of Kick-boxing (W.K.N.) and of Thai Muay (I.S.K.A.). Before practicing these disciplines, French illustrated itself in Full-contact (champion of France, Europe and intercontinental: fights in South Africa), in particular vis-a-vis Mike Bernardo or Stephan Reveillon. It also involved in English Boxe (5 Combat, 5 Victories, 4 obtained by KB) under the supervision of Don King in person.

Banner was illustrated within the K-1 where it gained two K-1 GP, one in 2000 and one in 2001. It forever gained the great final in spite of two finales disputed in 1995 and 2002. A serious wound with the arm contracted at the time of its final lost vis-a-vis Ernesto Hoost in 2002 will hold it a few months far away from the boxing rings. One will also retain his very impressive wound following a blow of head at the time of a superfight in Paris Bercy against French Cyril Abidi. September 30th, 2006 it gains its match of qualification for the finale of K-1 WGP against Hong-Man-Choi the largest combatant and heaviest of the K-1 circuit, by decision (3-0). Thus, on December 2nd, 2006, it opens the great finale of K-1 WGP by facing the champion in title, Dutch Semmy Schilt (2m 12) and is made eliminate at the points. Schilt gains finally K-1 World Final Grand Prix 2006 of Tokyo (Japan).

At the Jerome July 19th, 2006 Banner adds up 63 engagements. It counts 50 victories for 10 defeats and 2 null and 1 No contest. It beat the best combatants of its generation: Ernesto Hoost, Peter Aerts, Remy Bonjasky, Mark Hunt…

Always in K-1, it started a brilliant career in free Combat by gaining three successive victories vis-a-vis Yoshihiro Akiyama, Alan Karaev and Jimmy Ambriz (former champion of the King off The Cage); without counting a tie vis-a-vis the superstar Bob Sapp during an original confrontation where the two men alternate rounds of kick-boxing and of free combat.

Charismatic character of which will have it exceeds the field of the sports of combat, Jerome Banner also wishes to become actor. He was already caste in several films like Scorpion and especially Astérix with the Olympic Games.

He is also a friend of Joey Starr and Sinik.
