Jerome Badini

Jerome Badini is a Saxophoniste and Compositeur French of Electro-jazz.

Biography

His/her grandfather was singer of opera in Scala of Milan. Gerard Badini, his father, saxophonist and leader, accompanied Duke Ellington, Stan Getz and Dee Dee Bridgewater, inter alia. Teenager, Jerome discovers the music of Miles Davis, James Brown, Herbie Hancock and Prince. Then, the electronic music of Chicago and New York unloads in Paris… Heir to Maceo Parker and Blessed Maupin, Jerome Badini created his own style, the electroone: a powerful sound, a short and hypnotic play. He employs the saxophone as a DJ mixes its platinums and transforms subtle melodies into small reasons which he repeats until fright. The reception is particularly cordial when it is illustrated at the sides of the DJ-producers " Little" Louie Vega (Vinyl, New York), Derrick May (Amnesia, Ibiza) and DJ Sneak (Elysium-Montmartre, Paris).

Via Dimitri from Paris, it meets Alexkid. Together, they compose Trindade for Trip C Brasil (Sony). Then, with Ilene Barnes, he writes Fantasy (IC Music), title in which one can intend the major voice of the originating singer Strait to answer the enfiévré sax of Jerome. This song is remixée by David Duriez with whom it records Get One Down (2020 Vision). In 2004, it composes and produced Round The Clock (Super Bad Trax), tour of 12 titles around the dial. This album projects us in the kinematic universe of Super Bad , superman of the saxophone tenor, which guides us during a Parisian escapade.

In 2006, he collaborates for the first time with the orchestra of his father and product Scriabin' S Groove , placed against six parts for piano of Alexandre Scriabine and their transposition in the idiom of the jazz. This album, unanimously greeted by the critic, is several times rewarded. In 2007, Jean-Philippe Audin (VideoCello), Jerome Badini (ElectroSax) and Judith Darmont (VideoKeyboard) found MovieSonic, concept multi-media amalgamating Electro-jazz, classical music and video-art. On scene, their instruments with numerical devices generate simultaneously music, photograph and video in a permanent invention…
