Jerónimo Jose Candido
Jeronimo Jose Candido , born the January 8th 1770 with Chiclana of Frontera (Spain, Province of Cadiz), dead on April 1st 1839 with Madrid (Spain) was a Spanish Matador.
Presentation
He was wire of Jose Candido Esposito, him also matador. He begins in art taurin like “second sword” in 1792, in the Cuadrilla S of Jose, Pedro and Antonio Romero of which he marries one of the sisters, María Isabel. The last years of the 18th century do not see growing its prestige, but in the following years, it torée any more but in an episodical way, for health reasons. After the end of the prohibition of the bullfights by the king Charles IV, it appears again as one of principal the appeared (“high-speed motorboats”) until its retirement in 1824.After its retirement, he aspires to being appointed principal of Bullfighting of Seville, but it is his/her brother-in-law Pedro Romero who obtains the station, itself being appointed auxiliary professor, function which he occupies until the closing of the school.
After the closing of the school, stripped of resources, it again takes part in an episodical way in bullfights between 1834 and 1838.
