Jeor Mormont

In the series of novel the Throne of Iron of George R.R. Martin, Jeor Mormont is the Ordering Lord of the Garde of Night, of the combatants having sworn (by always by choice…) to defend the wall, in the North of Westeros, against the wild stocks which live with North and the mysterious Others, of the creatures which one does not even know appearance.

Summary

When Jon Snow, the bastard one of Eddard Stark joined the Guard Harms, Mormont take it under its wing.

After Jon to him is saved the life, Jeor will entrust to him Large-Claw, the ancestral sword of its family, that his/her son Jorah gave up before fleeing for the free cities.

At the time of " has Storm Swords " off; Jeor dies and it its is protected Jon which take again its station of Ordering Lord
