Jehan Daniel

Jehan Daniel known as main Mitou , Musician, priest of the diocese of the Maine, born towards 1480, died in 1550 with Angers.

Biography

As of its youth, it had as a guard Guy XVI of Laval, count of Laval, at the house of which it probably belonged, perhaps like member of his vault (see its publication at the time of dead of the count in 1531).

In 1517, it is with Angers, having perhaps obtained an employment thanks to the intervention of the Famille of Daillon, allied with that of the Famille of Laval. It was perhaps already attached to the Cathédrale of Angers. However in 1518, one finds it with Nantes charged to organize the spectacles given at the time of the entry of François Ier downtown this, where he is known as - organist of collegial Notre-Dame. It also provides the verses sung to the head of the entry of the king.
