Synopsis

Evocation of the life of Thomas Jefferson, ambassador of the the United States at the court of France between 1785 and 1789. It is 41 years old when it arrives from Virginia accompanied by his Patsy oldest daughter and one of its slaves, James Hemings, in 1784. His wife died two years earlier, and eight years before it wrote and signed the Déclaration of independence.
