Jefferson

Synopsis

All the children of South Park are attracted by “Mr. Jefferson”, his son and their house filled of Jouet S, video games and animal. Eric Cartman does all so that Mr. Jefferson likes it whereas the local police force tries to stop it because it is black and rich person.

Summary

August 1st

Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny meets their new neighbors: Michael Jackson, which took the Pseudonyme of “Michael Jefferson”, and Blanket, which carries a mask permanently. Mr. Jefferson seems to have much money: he has a great number of terminals of arcade in his living room and minis Amusement park in his garden.

But Kyle notices quickly that Mr. Jefferson neglects Blanket and decides to keep an eye on him. A little later the children propose with all their friends to come to Mr. Jefferson. Kyle feels more and more badly at ease with respect to Blanket because Mr. Jefferson behaves itself like a child, but does not seem ready to raise one of them. As for Cartman, it defends Mr. Jefferson by claiming that this one said to him that he was his best friend.

Comment

The episode is a parody of the controversy which surrounds Michael Jackson. Once more, the series does not take part: indeed, the authors criticize the behavior of the star, making it pass for a large child unable to educate some. Of another dimensioned, the eagerness of the police force is a reference to the eagerness which the Journaliste S have and in general that all those have which are interested in the business.

To also note that the true name of Michael Jackson is never mentioned in the episode (to undoubtedly avoid with the authors all Procès in Diffamation), but the character of Mr. Jefferson is very close to Michael Jackson on certain points:

it forever really have childhood and behaves now like a child,
it had recourse in an intensive way to the Cosmetic surgery, in particular on the level of the nose.
it has a fore-mentioned son Blanket whom it shakes above a window,
it sings and dances with the manner of Jackson (particularly small cries rather carracteristic).

Moreover, Blanket says Here “my father Michael Ja-” but it is stopped by his father who says to be called “Michael Jefferson”.

Died of Kenny

It is accidentally thrown to the ceiling by Mr. completely over-excited Jefferson. It is the first time since the Super Best Pals than Kenny dies without its Parka and the only episode in this season when he does not survive.
