Jeff García

Pierre Quétineau (1756-1794) was general-in-chief of the Armée with the West.

Ordering in the Vendée, at the time of rising (1793); attacked by higher forces in the town of Bressières from which the walls fell in ruin, it made retirement on Thouars; the rebels remove the city and did it captive. In vain the generals showed to him that the Convention would not forgive him its defeat, in vain they tried to retain it; Pierre Quétineau given in freedom wanted to join his army. He is judged by the revolutionary Tribunal, is condemned to died and guillotine the 27 ventôse year II (March 17th, 1794). He had married Jeanne Latreille who appeared with the lawsuit of Jacques Rene Hébert and the Hébertistes, she so guillotinée (1794).
