Caution: the potassium hydroxide is a corrosive chemical compound and its preparation releases from the dangerous vapors! The potassium hydroxide reacts violently with water, which is likely to cause dangerous splashes. The caustic potash is irritating and corrosive for the skin, the eyes, the respiratory and digestive tracts. It must be handled with gloves and if necessary of the safety goggles and a protection of the respiratory tracts. In the event of contact with the skin, rinse abundantly with water and consult a doctor.
