Jef Vanderveken

Jef Vanderveken or Jef Van der Veken (1872 with Antwerp - 1964 with Ixelles) is a Belgian painter , specialist in the copy and restoration of the Primitifs Flemish. He realized in particular, in 1945, a copy of the panel the just Judges of the mystical Agneau of Jan van Eyck whose original stolen in 1934 was never found. He is also the restorer of many chiefs of work of the museums like the Virgin with the canon Van der Paele of Jan van Eyck.
