Jeannine Collard

Jeannine Collard is a French opera singer, born the July 8th 1923 with Charleville in the Ardennes.

She was member of the troop of the Opéra of Paris and the Op3era Comique, and professor of song to the National institute of the young blind men of 1956 to 1971.

Its recordings of reference are:

  • Three Lessons of darkness for holy Wednesday of François Couperin (recording of 1955)

  • the Child and the magic spells of Maurice Ravel (recording of 1961, with Lorin Maazel, Deutsche Grammophon)
  • the King David of Arthur Honegger (recording of 1973).
