Jeanne of England (1165-1199)

Jeanne of England , queen of Sicily then countess of Toulouse.

She is born in 1165 from Henri II, king d' Angleterre and of Aliénor of Aquitaine. Two of his/her brothers, Richard Lion-hearted and Jean without Ground, were king d' Angleterre.

Aliénor of Aquitaine entrusts its education to the Abbaye of Fontevraud. In 1177, it marries in first weddings Guillaume II, king de Sicile († 1189) of which it a:

  • Bohémond d' Apulie, dead very young person

In 1196, it marries in second weddings Raymond VI (VIII), count de Toulouse († 1222) of which it a:

  • Raymond VII (IX) († 1249)

She dies in 1199.
