Jeanne Bueche
Jeanne Bueche (born with Saint-Imier the April 15th 1912 and deceased the June 28th 2000 with Delémont) is a Architecte Suisse specialized in the religious achievements.
Biography
Jeanne Bueche is born in the Canton from the Jura where his/her father, also architect, are implied in the political life and militate for the independence of the Jura.Elder of five children, it first of all follows studies of agriculture under the pressure of her parents, then joined EPFZ to study the architecture, which is its passion with the Sculpture. It obtains its diploma in 1935 and becomes one of the first woman of graduate Switzerland of architecture.
During and after its studies, it carries out several training courses abroad, in particular with Stuttgart in 1933, then with Stockholm in 1939 before having to return to Switzerland to the release of the Second world war during which it is mobilized.
Protesting E by its family, Jeanne is converted with the Catholicisme with its majority into 1944. In same time, it opens its office with Delémont, city which it will not leave any more. In 1950, it receives its first religious order for the construction of a new vault with Montcroix.
During her career, Jeanne will carry out 6 churches or vaults and will renovate it more than one about thirty (majority in the Jura). In some cases, it makes sure collaboration of known artists, such as Fernand Leger or Coghuf.
In 1970, it is Co-founder of the Association for the safeguard of the Jurassic rural inheritance which, gradually, will take in load not only old monuments but also of more recent constructions, badly or not maintained.
Sculpture
In parallel with her profession, Jeanne Bueche is also active in the world of arts, in particular that of the sculpture. She sits at the federal commission of the Art schools and maintains the friendly relationship with the sculptor tessinois Remo Rossi to whom she will entrust various mandates for his building sites.
