Jean of the Fountain, the challenge is a French film carried out by Daniel Vigne, left in 2007.

Synopsis

September 5th 1661: Fouquet, the powerful adviser of the king, is stopped on order of Jean-Baptiste Colbert; the young person Louis XIV only becomes Master of the kingdom. Whereas the other artists precipitate with the service of the monarch by divine right, only one of them rises to affirm its support for the deposed superintendent: the poet Jean of the Fountain. Colbert is then sworn to make fold the rebel who places art above the king.

Even in misery, the Fountain will never give up its convictions. It resists, has fun, observes, writes the fables, lampoons assassins against a despotic mode in full decline.
