Jean de Venette
Jean de Venette (born with Venette towards 1307 and died after 1368) is a chronicler French of the 14th century.
In 1339, it is Prieur Couvent of the Ordre of Carmel which is on the Maubert place with Paris and becomes higher of this kind for France of 1341 than 1366
Its Chronic Latin covering the years 1340 with 1368, is published by Achery ( Spicilegium , vol. III) like continuation of the chronicles of Guillaume de Nangis. Man of the people, it has sympathy to the peasants (it is interested in the rural life) and is rather hostile with noble and to the English.
