Jean de Mailly , born in 1911 and died in 1975, is a architect French, known to have been one of the three architects of CNIT in the district of Defense.

It follows its studies in the workshop of Charles Lemaresquier to the 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of the fine arts. It is first large Prix of Rome in 1945, at the same time as Jean Dubuisson and architect as a chief of the national Building industries in 1948. Named in 1949 Consulting architect of the State for the Mediterranean area by Claudius-Small Eugene, then Minister for the Rebuilding and Town planning, it is consequently brought to supervise the construction of a certain number of buildings with Toulon, the Seyne-sur-Mer and Marseilles. It develops a close cooperation with the manufacturer Bouygues, with whom it carries out a big number of architectural projects in particular with Defense.

He is elected member of the Académie of the Art schools of the Institute of France in 1968.
