Jean de Courcy

Jean de Courcy , born in 1340 probably with Courcy, is a Trouvère Normand.

Jean de Courcy belonged to the family of Courcy, in the district of Falaise. Brother of Jean lord and baron de Courcy, it is qualified in the historical memories of his house, of powerful man be-letters .

Jean de Courcy is the author of a work entitled Bouquechardière , a rather full history in prose of the Greeks and Romans, thus called because it composed it with the Borough-Achard, of which he was lord by his mother, Jeanne Mallet de Graville.

Jean de Courcy composed in worms another work not less considerable, entitled the Way of valiancy , poem allegorical of more than: 40000 worms, writing with Caudebec in 1406.
