Jean Valnet

Jean Valnet , born in 1920 (June 27th, 1920 with the Châlon-on-Marne) (Inhabitant of Franche-Comté) and deceased in 1995 (May 29th, 1995).

Jean Valnet is a Médecin - Chirurgie N, avant-gardist in the field of the phyto - Aromathérapie. With Rene Maurice Gattefossé, Doctor Jean Valnet can be regarded as one of the founders of the modern Aromathérapie. He created his own complexes with the essential Huiles, sold out of bottle spray in Pharmacie: Tégarome (against the insects), Climarome (against the stopped nose), Flexarome (relief of the muscular tensions), etc

Biography

He makes his studies with the Military academy of the Arrow, the School of the Military Department of health and the Medical college of Lyon.

He takes many diplomas there: he is graduate of Legal medicine and Psychiatrie, graduate of Microbiologie and Hygiène, graduate of hygiene and colonial medicine, graduate of Occupational medicine (1943-1944),

During the second world war of 1940-1945, it takes part in the frank Group of " Combat" with Lyon in 1942, with the network " Brutus" in 1943, with the Irregular force Pommiès.

Of 1944 with 1945, it is assisting of the Chief of the surgical Services of the Hospital of Evacuation 412.

In 1945, it obtains its title of Doctor of medicine and it is named Médecin Lieutenant and assistant surgeon at the Hospitals of Evacuation 412 and 501 in Germany. It becomes Médecin of the Military Special École of Saint-Cyr military school and of the School of Application of the Infantry.

In 1948, it is named Capitaine doctor.

Of 1950 with 1953, it is named Chirurgie N of the surgical antenna advanced with the Tonkin. It bandaged the casualties with aromatic solutions there by obtaining results generally quite higher than the average.

Of 1953 with 1959, he is head doctor of the Secretariat of State to the War, Staff of the Army and Cabinet of the Minister for the Armies.

In 1958, it is named Ordering doctor and then doctor Lieutenant-colonel (ER).

In 1959, Doctor Jean Valnet leaves the Army to go back like civil Médecin to Paris and to continue its research. It is dedicated to the study, with the teaching of the Phytothérapie and the Aromathérapie (see work and bibliography).

After a life filled well dedicated to the Phytotherapy and the Aromathérapie, he dies in 1995.

Work and the contribution of Jean Valnet

The contribution of Jean Valnet is without question the diffusion of knowledge and the teaching of the Phytothérapie and the Aromathérapie.

As of 1948, it exposes the result of its work on the Phytothérapie and the Aromathérapie in many medical publications and various works become famous (see bibliography).

As of 1960, it chairs Congresses with for assessors of professors de Faculté and members of the Academy of Medicine; it makes many conferences in France and abroad (England, Belgium, Canada, Spain, the United States, Gabon, Iran, Lebanon,…), etc

Since 1961, he is member corresponding of the “International Center of Biological research” to Geneva.

For this time, many scientific magazines and the large French or foreign press have regularly devoted articles, headings and reports with its activities.

In 1971, it founds the Association of studies and research in Aromathérapie and Phytothérapie (A.E.R.A.P. - law of 1901), first Company of the kind in France, which it transforms into 1973 in French company of Phytothérapie and Aromathérapie (S.F.P.A. - law of 1901). It gives up it in 1980, followed by all the members of its committee of honor (professors de Faculté, academics, personalities various) because of ambiguities attitudes of several members of its office and the atmosphere of intrigues.

In 1981, it founds the College of phyto - Aromathérapie and of medicines of ground of French language (J.O.R.F of the 4/2/81) (law of 1901) which has as an aim, following the example its first company:

- to gather the Doctor S, Pharmacist S, Veterinary S, dental surgeons, Biologist S, Kinesitherapist S, Dietician S (ennes) and Esthéticien S (ennes) which continues research and studies on the Phytothérapie, the Aromathérapie

- to use all the means and studies of scientific research placed at its disposal, including the implementation of analyzes to detect the frauds or falsifications in all therapeutic preparations with medical use, and to establish criteria specifying the quality of the products.

- to organize a postgraduate teaching intended for the experts.

- to place all the means at the disposal and more particularly seminars, documentation within the framework of continuing education.

Notwithstanding its clinical observations, it is interested also in the study of the Anti-infectious properties , Antibiotiques of the essential Huiles and with their modes of action in the light of the bioelectronics of Louis Claude Vincent.

In 1971, Doctor Maurice Girault (of Dijon) creates the term of Aromatogramme to characterize this particular Antibiogramme carried out, either with traditional Antibiotiques, but with essential Huiles. Dr. Jean Valnet will be one of the first to diffuse in the general public knowledge on the Aromathérapie and the Aromatogramme.

Since 1976, Doctor Jean Valnet organizes a Congress of Phytothérapie and Aromathérapie (to Paris, Monte Carlo, Lyon) and many symposium.

Let us announce that it also took part in many radio broadcasts on line with the listeners like on television (in France and abroad).

Thanks to its tireless work of " defense and of illustration" Phytotherapy and Aromathérapie, he was an actor of the revival of interest of the public and certain doctors for these therapeutic.
