Jean VII Paleologist
Jean VII Paleologist , born towards 1370, died in 1408 with the mount Athos, Byzantine emperor of 1399 to the July 20th 1402, wire of Andronic IV Paleologist and Marie of Bulgaria.
He seizes Constantinople the April 14th 1390, briefly drawing aside from the throne his grandfather Jean V, with the assistance of the Othoman sultan Bayezid Ier, but is in his turn driven out by his uncle Manuel II Paleologist (September 17th). This one however entrusts the capacity in to him 1399, when Manuel II leaves for Europe to seek help against the Othomans. With the return of Handbook II in 1402, it is again driven out of Constantinople and reign locally in Thrace.
He had married Eugenie girl of Francisco II Gattilusio lord of Lesbos of which:
