Jean Véronis
Jean Véronis is professor of linguistics and of data processing at the university of Provence, chair Association for the automatic treatment of the languages, and consulting near various companies of technologies.
He taught several years in the United States, in particular in very selective Vassar College and was one of the most active members of the Text Encoding Initiative. Its work, published on its blog, on probable fakings by Google of the number of pages returned at each request was worth to him a certain notoriety and quotations in large French and international newspapers ().

During the French presidential election of 2007, its work concerned the language of the politicians.
