Jean Texcier
Jean Texcier (1888-1957) painter, illustrator, journalist, carrying shares of Paris-Normandy. It was born with Rouen in 1888 and died in 1957.
Biography
Born from a republican father, founder of the Newspaper the Dispatch of Rouen , it adheres to the working Parti French in 1903. Whereas it is student in right, it founds the newspaper the Student of Rouen .It engages during the First World War, sending to the newspapers correspondences. In 1936, it joined SFIO.
During the second world war, it engages quickly in the Résistance. As of the month of July 1940, it writes a " Small handbook of dignité" : the Councils with Occupied the . It will make it follow in November of Propos to occupied the then by Lettres to François and finally by Delivered France where it collects documents on the Collaboration. It took part in the creation of the movement Libération and will sit as from 1943 at the commission of the Press clandestine.
At the Release, Jean Texcier sits at the Consultative Assembly.
After the war, he collaborates in the socialist daily newspaper " North-Morning ".
