Jean Amor Tarnowski de Leliwa , (or Jan Amor Leliwa Tarnowski or Jan Tarnowski herbu Leliwa ), (1488 - 1561) was a noble Polish. It was Grand Hetman Crown since 1527 and founded the town of Ternopil.

He was the owner of Tarnów, Wiewiórka, Rożnów, Przeworsk, Stare Sioło, was knight of the Ordre of the Holy Sepulchre starting from September 1st 1518, Kasztelan starting from the June 6th 1522, Voïvode of the Voïvodie ruthene starting from the April 2nd 1527 and of Voïvodie of Cracow starting from the October 10th 1535, Kasztelan of Cracow and Starost of Sandomierz, Stryj, Żydaczów, Dolina, Sandecz, Chmielno, Lubaczów and Horodło starting from the March 15th 1536.

He was one of the first hetman S of the Polish army after his great reforms. He led the Polish army to many victories, among which that of the Bataille of Obertyn (1531) against the Moldavian and that of the Battle of Starodub (1535) against the Moscovites.

He does not achieve only great victories. He developed, inter alia things, artillery with horse, the hospitals of countryside financed by the government, the services with the military districts, and the sappers. Although it was always hetman, it preached for doctrines of flexibility.
