Jean Stock , born the August 26th 1948 with Sarrebourg (the Moselle), is a French personality of the audio-visual one.

It carried out the first part of its career within the group RTL in particular as journalizes with RTL (radio) then with RTL Television, where he was the creator of emission as Good Franquette whose presenter was also the realizer (what was a first in Europe) and also of " Léo against tous" , first interactive game where the computer made its entry in the television games.

It contributed to the creation of M6 as a director of the programs of M6 of 1987 to 1989. He is also the creator of the tv news of the chain, Six' (6 minutes).

He assumed then, of 1997 to 1998 the functions of director of audio-visual of the group Havas member of the steering committee of Havas, then of 1998 to 2001 chairmen of TV5 Monde and International Canal France.

From 2001 to 2004, he was general secretary of the European Union of radio-television (EBU-UER).

He currently chairs LUXE.TV the chain in TVHD which his/her son Jean-Baptiste Stock directs.
