Jean Simon Berthélemy

Jean Simon Berthélemy , painter of history (Laon, 1745 - Paris, 1811), painted several ceilings with the Palais of Louvre, the Palais of Luxembourg, etc

Its talents are worth to him to be named within the Commission of Sciences and Arts at the time of the countryside of Italy, following the general Bonaparte. It is in particular charged to select the works of art which can be transported in France.

Its godfather was the Austrian sculptor Simon Pfaff de Pfaffenhoffen.
