Jean Servier

Jean Servier is a ethnologist and French historian born on November 2nd, 1918 with Constantine. He is currently professor of ethnology and Sociologie to the Faculty of the Lettres and the Social sciences of Montpellier.

Adopting a method of ethnology compared opened with the History of the ideas, it was interested on very many subjects, including the Utopie or the esotericism, but also the Mediterranean Antiquité and the Algérie. He currently works being studied of the oral traditions of Israel.
