Jean Sauvagnargues

Jean Sauvagnargues (born the April 2nd 1915, dead the August 6th 2002) was an ambassador and a politician French.

Biography

After German studies to the National university, it integrates the diplomatic corps during the Second world war and rejoins free France in 1943 and is member of the cabinet of the General De Gaulle with the release. It takes part then in the Commission of the German and Austrian businesses, then it is named ambassador in Ethiopia in 1955. Starting from 1960, it deals with African diplomacy, and is named ambassador in FRG in 1970. When Valery Giscard d'Estaing becomes president of the French Republic in 1974, it wishes to reinforce its bonds with the Germany, and thus names Sauvagnargues at the post of Foreign Minister. During the formation of the Barre government the August 27th 1976 with its request it is not renewed in its functions for health reasons. He then becomes ambassador of France in Great Britain until in 1981.
