Jean Rose tree

Jean Rossier , born the June 18th 1944 is a Belgian Biologiste. He is professor of biology to the University of industrial physics and chemistry of the town of Paris and member of the Academy of Science since 2002.

Jean Rossier studies medicine with Brussels where it obtains its doctorate in 1969, before carrying out a doctorate of biology to the Collège de France. He continues his research tasks in Tufts Medical School of Boston and to the Institute Rock in the New Jersey. He discovers several peptides opioïdes in collaboration with the professor Roger Guillemin and includes/understands the mechanisms of their synthesis and their endogenous role. He works then on beta-carbolines, of the molecules which facilitate the performance of the tasks of training and memory. This work is at the base of the development by the drug company, of promnesic molecules. In 1994, Pierre-Gilles of Genoa decides to introduce biology with the University of industrial physics and chemistry of the town of Paris. Jean Rossier is named professor of the school and takes the direction of the laboratory of Neurobiology and Cellular Diversity where it develops techniques of Chain reaction by polymerase and studies new classes of Interneurone S néocorticaux.

Jean Rossier is member of the scientific advice of Gaz de France since 2003.
