Jean Robic
Jean Robic (June 10th 1921 with Vouziers, the Ardennes - October 16th 1980 (car accident)) cyclist French was a runner. Called Kid , Head-of-leather because of its protection of cyclo-cross related to road, Death-dodger … a look in Popeye. He lived his youth with Radenac in Morbihan where his/her father held a cycle shop. The house of its childhood is located in the street which bears its name. A nasty piece of work, adored by Brittany and deep France according to war. Professional of 1945 to 1959 (last Tour de France at 38 years).
In 1947, it succeeds in the exploit to gain the Tour de France without to have carried the yellow jersey of it. Indeed it is following an attack in the coast of Bonsecours, at the exit of Rouen, which it outdistances with the assistance of Edouard Fachleitner and Lucien Teisseire, the yellow jersey Pierre Brambilla. On arrival, it is yellow jersey, Fachleitner is second of the Turn. Thinking owe its victory with the intercession of co. Anne, owner of Breton, it offered its yellow jersey to the basilica Co.-Anne d' Auray, in the treasure of which one can always admire the relic of this small gauge.
