Jean Prévost
Jean Prévost is a French writer born the June 13rd 1901 with Saint-Pierre-the-Nemours and died the 1944 with Sassenage.
His/her father is principal to Montivilliers. After its secondary studies with the college Crow of Rouen, it prepares with the Lycée Henri-Iv of Paris with the philosopher Alain his entry with the National university in 1919.
In 1926 it Marie with Marcelle Auclair with which he has three children (Michel, Francoise and Alain).
It is mobilized with the service of the telephone control of the Havre. He marries in second weddings, Claude Van Biema, doctor. He is evacuated by sea with Casablanca and returns to France in August.
He adheres to the National committee writers, created by Aragon and his wife, and takes part in the creation of the clandestine newspaper the stars at the end of 1942. He passes his thesis of doctorate: creation at Stendhal, test on the trade to write and the psychology of the writer . Grand Prix of literature of the French Academy in 1943.
It is killed the Arme S with the hand under the name of Capitaine Goderville (village in which his/her father is originating) in a ambush whereas it left the maquis of the Vercors.
The colleges of Villard-with-Lans and Montivilliers bear its name.
