The Jean Nicoli (in the past Superfast X ) is a ferry built in 2002 for Superfast Ferries. In August 2006, SNCM bought the cargo and passenger ship, which be before the property of Superfast Ferries (Attica group). The ship was delivered at the beginning of April to the company, it bears the name of Jean Nicoli (old resistant died as a martyr to Bastia on August 30th, 1943), his home port is Ajaccio.

It measures practically 204 meters, can accommodate 750 passengers, reached a maximum speed of 27 knots and will be composed of a crew of 70 characters. This last left Belgium direction Le Havre, then Spain and finally Corsica, where it will carry out connections Corsican-continent. This ship, particularly large and long, will be able to accost only with Ajaccio. Indeed, only the Ajaccian quay of the croisierists is able to accommodate a so imposing ship. Built in 2002, the Jean-Nicoli was bought by Veolia Transport, for the sum of 112 million euros.
