Jean Monneret (painter)

Jean Monneret, born the November 27th 1922 with Chalon-sur-Saône, is one of the painters more for painting of the École of Paris of post-war period. It is founder president of the Federation of the historical Living rooms of the Large palace.

With the 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of the fine arts

Of 1944 to 1949, Jean Monneret was pupil with the 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of the fine arts of Paris, in the workshop of Jean Dupas after being prepared there at the school of the Art schools of Lille. In parallel, it successfully passes the contest of teaching of visual art of the colleges.

An artist with the solid convictions

During its career of painter and especially starting from the arrival of Andre Malraux with the capacity, it will not cease defending freedom of expression as regards visual art against any form of dictatorship of State, especially when this dictatorship is exerted by obscure civils servant.
