Jean Malo-Renault
Jean Malo-Renault , born with Paris the June 9th 1900, in a family originating in St Malo, deceased with Rennes the August 9th 1988, is the son of Emile Malo-Renault (1870-1938), artist engraver, pastellist and Illustrateur and of Honorine (known as Nori), born Tian (1871-1953) engraver and craftsman of Article.
It is known as author of vast a retrospective bibliography of Brittany by analysis of the sources printed and periodic of 1480 with 1960, are 150.000 cards preserved at the public library of Rennes and consultable in microfiches since 1988. One calls this Bibliographie the file Malo-Renault .

Jean Malo-Renault joined together an abundant iconographic documentation for a thesis on the Religious architecture in Brittany. More largely, it was interested in the Costume and the Breton popular art, component of many files.
The Departmental records of Ille-et-Vilaine preserve this documentation in the Fonds Malo-Renault: dimensions 80 J 1 with 80 J 93.
