Jean Malléjac

Jean Malléjac is an old runner Breton cyclist born the July 19th 1929 with Dirinon and deceased the September 24th 2000 with Landerneau.

It will become professional in 1950 and until in 1958 will remain it.

Its principal claim to fame is the second place in the Tour de France of 1953 behind Louison Bobet.

  • During the Tour de France 1955, Jean Malléjac is taken of a faintness during the rise of the Mont Ventoux probably following the use of amphetamines which then were not controlled.
