Jean Louis Ébenezel Reynier

Jean-Louis-Ébenezel Reynier , (born with Lausanne, the January 14th 1771, died with Paris the February 27th 1814), general French.

It was intended for civil engineering, when the French revolution opened the military career to him. Assistant of the staff in 1792, adjudant-general in 1793; Brigadier general in the Countryside of Holland. Chief of staff to the Armed with the Rhine, under Moreau, Reynier left for the Egypt where it remained until the end.

Turned over in France, it was in disgrace under the consular government. Employee again in 1805, it ordered the Armée with Italy which seized Naples, and controlled this city until in 1809. Minister for the navy and the war of this kingdom. It took again service in the Large army and made the campaigns of Wagram, of Russia, Saxony and France.

He died in Paris the February 27th 1814, 44 years old.
